SICILY. Syracuse. Agathokles, 317-289 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 16.92 g, 7 h), circa 310-306/5. KOPAΣ Head of Kore to right, wearing wreath of grain ears, single-pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. AΓAΘOKΛEIOΣ Nike, bare to waist, standing right, about to attach a helmet to a trophy, she holds a hammer in her right hand and a nail in her left; to lower left, triskeles running right. Ierardi 137 (this coin, O35/R90). Nicely toned. The reverse somewhat double struck, otherwise, very fine.
